Polk Senior Games is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, meaning it is designated by the IRS as a charitable cause, is exempt from federal income tax and can accept tax-deductible donations. Funding for the Games is raised through entry fees, sponsorships and donations.

Guido Cimonetti, age 102, and his partner Gordon Blaum, took the gold medal in the 80-84 age group in Shuffleboard Doubles. Nearly 200 shufflers filled the new facility at Lake Parker Park.
